A massive fire broke out at a firecracker warehouse in Deesa, Gujarat’s Banaskantha district, on Tuesday morning, claiming 17 lives and injuring five others. The incident occurred around 9:30 AM at Deepak Firecrackers while several workers were inside. Authorities have confirmed the casualties and are continuing firefighting operations.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed his sorrow over the deadly fire at a firecracker warehouse in Deesa. He confirmed that the state government would provide Rs 4 lakh to the families of the 17 victims who died and Rs 50,000 to those who were injured. Patel also assured that the authorities were working on providing relief, rescue operations, and medical care for the injured. He offered his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and wished the injured a quick recovery.
