Operation Sindoor: Pakistan Approaches UNSC After India’s Airstrike on Terror Camps

India’s Operation Sindoor Triggers Pakistan’s Appeal to UNSC Amid Rising Tensions

The air operation was launched on the 16th day after the deadly Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national.

India’s swift and targeted response has left Pakistan rattled, prompting it to accuse India of “aggressive military action.” In a formal letter submitted to the UNSC, Pakistan asserted that while it does not seek war, it “reserves the right to respond” in case of any violation of its sovereignty.

The Pakistani government expressed concern over regional stability, appealing to the international community to take cognizance of India’s actions. “If our borders are violated or our sovereignty threatened, we will not remain silent. We will defend our people and territory,” the letter stated.
