Hyundai Motor India has maintained its position as the second-largest passenger car manufacturer in India for the financial year 2024-25. The company sold a total of 7,62,052 vehicles, with 5,98,666 units sold in the domestic market and 1,63,386 units exported. This also makes Hyundai the top passenger car exporter in India.
In March 2025, Hyundai reported total sales of 67,320 units, including 51,820 units sold in India and 15,500 units exported. This represents a 2.6% increase compared to March last year.
Hyundai’s SUV lineup continues to drive its success, making up 68.5% of its total domestic sales in FY 2024-25. The Hyundai Creta led the market, selling 52,898 units in the January-March quarter, securing its spot as India’s top SUV.
The company also achieved key milestones, surpassing 2.5 million SUV sales and 1.5 million Creta sales across domestic and export markets.
COO Tarun Garg highlighted Hyundai’s strong market position, crediting customer trust and an expanded SUV lineup, including the new Creta Electric and Alcazar. Hyundai remains India’s second-largest carmaker, with continued growth in both domestic and global markets.
